Only 27% of school-age children in Mpigi district are enrolled in primary school
Being a Speech Pathologist, my role is to educate children to unlock their voices and change their lives. I have always wanted to develop a way to do this with children in less fortunate countries.
Creating an education cycle is what I love most. As I mentor speech pathology students and they educate themselves, we can all educate others in need.

We are passionate about giving back.
As we educate ourselves, we educate those in need.
The Successful Speechie Academy is in proud partnership with One Co. as a business for purpose.
For every 'Language Unlocked' course registration, we help send a child to school in Uganda for 3 days including 3 meals a day, clean water and resources. As our course attendance grows, so does our impact!
Together our aim for 2023 is to send 56 students to school for a whole year – that’s an entire class!

Why we give back
to education in Uganda
The student teacher ratio is a high 52:1 in rural areas
Drop out rate is 60-80% especially amongst girls
Textbooks and teaching material is rare and inadequate
Children often stay at home and help with income producing chores
Poor academic performance because of a lack of support at home
